A party may set up the perfect formation, but a naga battlemaster will leap around the battlefield and devastate players who are not prepared. Battles like this are the core of True Action Combat. Bringing Tera to the PS4 meant making some adjustments, too.
We wanted players to have a smooth experience, so the team at Bluehole made lots of tweaks that improve the game without detracting from it. For example, they added a lock-on system to keep the action centered on your screen. They simplified inventory management by automatically sorting items into categories and added a radial menu to give you rapid access to whatever you need.
These little quality-of-life changes add up to a streamlined experience. The world of Tera was born from a dream. The titans, Arun and Shara, laid down to sleep through the eons and their shared dream became the world of Tera.
Their bodies became continents and their children became gods. Children squabble in any family, but when gods battle the results can be catastrophic. The world of Tera is scarred by wars and struggles, and the races are caught in the affairs of the gods. Each race brings their own flavor to the world, too! The mischievous poporis, the honorable aman, the volatile castanics, and the mostly noble humans are just part of the diverse tapestry of the game.
Tera on PS4 is the result of years of hard work by many people, across vast distances, all passionate about gaming—artists, developers, writers, testers, and customer support all working together. Create a hero and start your adventure in Tera today! Did you like this? Like this. Please be kind, considerate, and constructive.

Previously, the free-to-play switch was scheduled to take place sometime in February. The new version of the game will not require a subscription fee and new players will not face any content restrictions or a level cap.
Though Tera: Rising will be available to play for free, players can use real-world money to purchase various items on an a la carte basis from the in-game marketplace. Past and current Tera subscribers will be awarded permanent "founder" status, which carries numerous exclusive privileges.
A detailed breakdown of Free-versus-Founder-versus-Elite status benefits can be found at the official Tera website. To coincide with the free-to-play business model switch for Tera, new in-game content will be made available.
They are not subject to level caps and will experience no restrictions to content, time, or level. In recognition of their early adoption to the game, players who purchased TERA will gain founder benefits, including eight character slots, four bank tabs, a "Founder" title, the exclusive Terminus mount, and much more.
Elite players will find that their status pays for itself through free items and discounts, let alone in-game perks. While non-elite players will not benefit from the same perks as their Elite counterparts, they will experience game content, character growth, holding political office, and other in-game determinations of status and power exactly the same way all players have since the game launched.
