How much is waves v7

I'm using Vista on a PC.. Anyone on Logic who can confirm if there is proper side-chaining on Waves plugs with this update or not? If so, would this perhaps also work on Logic 8?

Plugs are very CPU friendly. I'll wait on this I just received an email from Waves on this problem. They have already resolved the issue. You may need to call them to get it going, but at least they resolved the problem quickly. I also agree to downlown version 7 before going to the ilok. Tube World. I got version 7 installed and it works great.

Nice to see some additonal meters added to some of the old plug in's. I did worry at first becuase I did not see a Waves folder in Cubase. Since it is a Vst3 the plug in's show up under Eq, reverb and compressors inside Cubase 5. It will be nice to be able to use them as side chains as well. Not needing the MBP for the minute so i may leave it a while until the servers are a little less stressed out. I'm going back and forth over this one right now If anyones still struggling let me know and I'll dropbox a link for you I think the Waves server was overloaded with everyone trying to update at the same time.

I was able to update, and I must say I like the extra meters on some of my plugs as well as the side chaining capabilities. It will a little getting used to with going to my compressor folder for a Waves plug ins instead of going to a Waves folder in Cubase.

I am also happy that when ever I get a new computer in 4 years or so, if the new computer has Windows 7, I won't have to be concerned about updating my WUP at that point. I just used Vocal-Rider on a project I'm working on. I think it's worth the upgrade right there. VST3 hasn't been the standard for ages. That's the problem.

Some plugin developers have been very much against VST3, Voxengo and Sonalksis had developers arguing about it at KVR saying they would not adopt the standard because it was so limited. However, expect to see a lot more joining in now that Waves have gotten on board. VST3 allows easy sidechaining, better support for multiprocessors, and only uses CPU overhead when audio is being passed through it. Upgrade from Logic 7 to 9 Waves7 issues? Hi Has any of you gone straight from Logic 7 Tiger Have you tried opening songs created in Logic 7 in Logic 9?

Any issues? Did you loose settings, automation, fader levels?? Untill a couple of weeks ago I was running Logic 7, Waves v. My desktop G5 Power PC 2. I'm starting up a new album. One at a time with ilok connected. All the plugin companies are cool with this, except of course Unless you own them already, that is. But there was a problem, copying e.

Pity, I really hope waves will make 64 bit version soon. They have a good line of high quality plugins. This will make them loose a lot of customers as everyone are moving to 64bit. Any other good plugins out there runs on 64bit host? Thanks for the info, Dj Ravix. On Wavessupport. Waves is pleased to announce that Waves Version 7 now supports bit audio hosts running on PCs with Windows 7 bit operating systems.

Full support for bit audio hosts is not yet available. Waves is making every effort to provide full support as quickly as possible. I have heard waves v. I am pretty darn sure it will be 64 bit and stable when PT 9 is 64 bit and stable hopefully waves will be out of excuses by then.
