Andrew started his technical career as an Artificer in the Royal Navy and, following his service, immigrated to Canada in After several years managing manufacturing companies in the material handling sector and working for 11 years in the scaffold industry with both large and small dedicated scaffolding contractors, Andrew joined Avontus. Andrew has extensive experience in business development and project, site, contract, and branch management, and he is an active member of scaffolding associations in both North America and Europe.
When he is not working with customers, Andrew can be found in the kitchen experimenting, with his head in a book, or on a pair of skis. She has worked with Avontus since its founding and has over 25 years of experience in business and financial management. She enjoys many creative outlets including welding as well as teaching and performing improv. Based in the UK, John has over 30 years of experience working within the Access industry for several large multinational companies around the world on both onshore and offshore projects in Sales, Project Management, and Business Development.
He initially started his career as a Mechanical Engineer. After 10 years, John had a change in career direction and started working in Scaffold Hire and Sales, Contract Scaffolding, and Crane Hire while completing his degree in Structural Design. He brings his passion for innovation into his new role as Global Sales Director at Avontus.
Using his mechanical engineering background P. Eng , he has designed components to be manufactured. In his spare time, Hossein enjoys playing volleyball, hitting the gym and, of course, experimenting with new technologies and gadgets.
Blake enjoys learning and sharing, as demonstrated by his time as a visiting student and later a teaching assistant in the UC Berkeley Computer Science department. Blake saw an exciting opportunity for growth with Avontus and joined as a contractor, quickly building teams and taking on more responsibility in Product Development. Blake enjoys continuously seeking growth for himself and his team, as well as exploring emerging technologies to support our customers and flagship products.
Shaun has a broad expertise of scaffolding within multiple global markets. He started his career within a civil engineering company, where he picked up the AutoCAD bug and became a proficient user of the product.
Upon qualifying as an adult education lecturer, he taught AutoCAD at night school. After a couple of years, he moved on to a software company as a full-time civil engineering software trainer, and then progressed to scaffolding software training, sales demonstrations, and support for the UK and overseas scaffolding market.
Tracey has many years of software training, support, and help desk management experience. Since , she has been helping Avontus customers use their software to its full advantage through implementation management, software training, and support. In her spare time, she focuses on animal advocacy by volunteering with the Marine Mammal Center and the Berkeley Humane Society.
Mirko came from a long customer service and support background before joining Avontus in Mirko is dedicated to solving problems big and small, providing help and training, and ultimately making customers happy.
In the off hours he pursues his passion in martial arts and enjoys the little things in life. Shon comes from a long background in customer service, technical, and software support in the banking and financial services and sports industries. A Michigan native now living in California, he gets his satisfaction by resolving issues and helping customers achieve their goals. During his off-time, he enjoys reading up on the latest tech, working out, watching football, and blogging about music.
Kay has 7 years of support experience working both in a face-to-face and support desk environment, including 6 years within the Apple organization where he honed his support skills in an often demanding environment. Kay is married to Zoe and lives near Cambridge in a village called Cambourne. Rachel comes from a long background in customer service and software product support. She gets satisfaction from, and is dedicated to, solving problems and providing a great customer experience.
During her free time, Rachel enjoys making scale models, crafting useful items from scratch, beach-going, gardening, and spending time with her son. Emma has worked in customer service for most of her career. She enjoys talking to customers, both on the phone and face to face.
Due to her personality and nature, she has great people skills and always strives to provide excellent customer service! When Emma is not working at Avontus, you will find her at the gym, at music festivals, out for dinner, being outdoors with her dog or just enjoying family time.
